✢ Honey Gold Jasmine (Jazz for short) is a Black American hip hop and neo soul artist building worlds where alt culture, consciousness, and confidence collide. The multifaceted singer-rapper, actress, and event curator is a magical product of her hometown Vallejo and soultown Oakland.
✢ You might catch Jazz in her fairy persona or in full cosplay in the middle of Oakland. A ’90s baby raised on anime, 106 & Park, Octavia Butler’s Parable of the Sower, TLC, and renaissance faires, she is a music and art culture blerd with a vibrant inner world.
✢ Since releasing her first EP and mini comic book Supanova 7 in 2017 and debuting her interactive events, Jazz has been recognized as an artist to watch. She’s opened for legends like Common and The Pharcyde, won the $25,000 Zoo Labs prize, and recently hosted and performed at Oakland’s biggest festival, The Black Joy Parade.
